In the same way that LevelPlay allows teams of similar skill to compete against like teams, Universal Spirit recognizes that while similar in many respects, the dynamics of a traditional school or recreation team can often be very different that that of an allstar team. As such, we've created distinct score sheets and judging scales to reflect these differences.
Universal Spirit is committed to offering every team a competitive and fair competition experience at our events. As a member of the USASF, Universal Spirit adheres to the USASF Cheer and Dance Rules and Age Grid.
One aspect of providing the best competition experience is by offering an appropriate mix of divisions for teams to compete within. Divisions are defined by various combinations of age, team composition (female/male), # of team members and USASF level.
One aspect of providing the best competition experience is allowing teams to compete against other teams of a similar skill level via LevelPlay. Universal Spirit offers six distinct levels, Level 1 thru Level 6, with progressively less restrictive rules that allow for more technically complex skills as you move to each higher level.
